FaSTR™ DNA v1.2 Released with New Review Module and Enhanced Features

The STRmix team has launched FaSTR™ DNA v1.2, a cutting-edge solution for forensic DNA analysis, introducing significant upgrades that enhance functionality. Key among these is the new Review Module, which allows users to compare two previously analyzed projects, enabling a highly streamlined technical review process with all analyst actions, peak details, and same epg profiles in simultaneous view.

Like its predecessor, FaSTR™ DNA v1.2 maintains an intuitive interface and customizable rules, facilitating rapid analysis of raw DNA data from capillary electrophoresis instruments and STR DNA profiling kits. This version integrates known artifact detection and optional new viewing modes for scanpoint view and individual channel zoom, allowing users to independently zoom the y-axis for different channels. Additionally, there is a reworked filtering of the analysis file that includes additional filters for sample type and status, and the ability to search sample names.
