Homogeniser Potter S is well-established and suited for gentle disruption of soft tissues or cultured cells. Shearing forces that originate during the passage of samples between cylinder wall and plunger provide well-controlled conditions that even allow the isolation of intact nuclei from such materials. An integrated cooling vessel, filled with ice water or connected to an external cooling system, helps to control heating of the sample during homogenisation in order to slow down degradation processes. Cylinders are safely held in place by a clamping system in the top of the cooling vessel, thereby protecting the user from glass breakage. A large selection of cylinders and plungers ia available.
